Code of Conduct

As a team of young professionals we believe it is important for all of us to abide by a Code of Conduct that requires us to conduct ourselves in an honest, transparent and ethical manner and always act in the best interest of the firm at all times.

Avoidance of Conflict of Interest

All members of the firm must avoid situations in which their personal interest could conflict with the interest of the firm. This is an area in which it is impossible to provide comprehensive guidance but the guiding principle is that conflict, if any, or potential conflict must be disclosed to the Managing Partner for guidance and action as appropriate.

Transparency and Auditability

All members of the firm must ensure that their actions in the course of work are totally transparent. It will be necessary for members to voluntarily ensure that areas of operation are transparent and open to audit.

Protection of Confidential Information

No member of the firm shall disclose or mis-use any confidential information of the firm or its clients. No information either formally or informally shall be shared with other members, outsiders or any other external agency.

Facilities

No member of the firm shall misuse the firm’s facilities. In the use of such facilities, care shall be taken to ensure that costs are reasonable and there is no wastage.

Gender-Friendly Workplace

‘Open to Sky’ is committed to ensuring and safeguarding a gender-friendly workplace. It seeks to provide equal opportunities for men and women, prevent/stop/redress sexual harassment at the workplace and ensure good and wholesome work practices.

Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexually determined behaviour such as: unwelcome physical contact; a demand or request for sexual favours; sexually coloured remarks; showing pornography and any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature.

The firm maintains an open-door culture and encourages members to report any harassment concerns. The firm is responsive to complaints about harassment or other unwelcome and offensive conduct. A committee has been constituted to enquire into complaints and to recommend appropriate action, if ever required.
